Green-and-red-striped awnings have been the symbol of good food and atmosphere since our opening day. Owned and operated by the Austin family since its inception in 1976, Merchants has developed into the center of the award winning, culturally revitalized downtown Walla Walla, Washington.

Merchants began as a very small (11x75 feet) store front but within months of opening more space was required because it was clear that we were filling a need. We have expanded and grown throughout our time here on Main Street. And, we enjoy the great feeling of being a part of the very successful downtown of Walla Walla.
